Our Lhasa tour commences with an hour & 10
minute's Trans Himalayan flight from Kathmandu to Gongar Airport
. The tour covers Tsedang, the ancient capital of Tibet from where
once the Buddhism was flourished all over China up to Mongolia .
Samye: This is still one of the most imposing sights in Tibet .
The city was built in 763 – 775 by Padmasambhava (also known by
Tibetans as Lopon Rimpoche) during the reign of of Tibetan King
Trison Detsen. Mindolin monastery is the main attraction of Samye.
This is one of the important Nyingmapa (Red Hat Sect) monasteries;
it was founded in 1671 by Dieda Linba. The four main temples, one
of which houses a fine statue of Sakyamuni, are being restored.
The monastery is approximately mid-way between Zhanang and Samya
ferry.
After visiting Tsedang and Samye, we head out to Lhasa where we
visit, Potala Palce (the Palace of Dalai Lam , Norbulinkha Palace
(the summer Palace of Dalai Lama , Jokhang temple, Drepung Monastery
and Sera Monastery.
Due to the limit flight between Lhasa and Kathmandu , we can commence
this tour only on Tuesday from Kathmandu . The Air China operates
its flights only two days in a week, Tuesday and Saturday. According
to your interest, the places to visit within the tour can be added
of omitted. We are flexible to design the tour. The tour can be
commenced from mainland China ( Chengdu and Beijing ) too.

Day 01: Fly to Lhasa . We meet you at the airport and transfer you
to Tsedang. Afternoon, sightseeing tour around Tsedang.
Day 02: Drive, Tsedang to Lhasa en route we visit Samye.
Day 03: Lhasa sightseeing tour: Visit Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple
and Barkhor Bazaar.
Day 04: Lhasa sightseeing tour: Visit Drepung Monastery, Potala
Palace and Norbulinkha Palace
Day 05: Early morning transfer to airport for your flight back to
Kathmandu |
