Nepal ,
Darjeeling & Sikkim
The tour has been designed in a way to provide
valuable experiences of the neighboring regions of both Darjeeling
and Sikkim . Whilst both areas are now under Indian control
they have very different flavors and landscapes.
After soaking up the atmosphere of the Kathmandu
valley we fly to Bhadrapur in Eastern Nepal and close to the
Indian border thus saving around fifteens hours of overland
travel.
Darjeeling still evokes many memories of
how life must have been under the Raj whilst Sikkim really
is beautifully scenic. Traveling overland (a must anyway)
is the ideal way to truly experience the region.
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu
- transfer hotel - tour briefing
Day 02: A full day sightseeing tour within
the Kathmandu valley
Day 03: Transfer airport - fly Bhadrapur
- drive Darjeeling (5 hours) - transfer hotel
Day 04: A day sightseeing in Darjeeling
- visiting the major sites of interest.
Day 05: A. M. - Sunrise over Kanchenjunga
from Tiger hill - p. m. visit a tea plantation.
Day 06: Darjeeling - Martam (115 kms / 04
hrs) - transfer hotel
Day 07: Martam - Gangtok - transfer hotel
Day 08: Gangtok - Pemayangtse
Transfer to Pemayangtse (135 kms / 5 hrs) - transfer Hotel
- an evening visit to Pemayangtse Monastery.
Day 09: Pemayangtse - Yuksom
Transfer to Yuksom on the way visit Khecheopari Lake , Khecheopalri
Lake is one of the sacred Buddhist mountain lakes.
Day 10: Yuksom - Kalimpong
A. M. - Drive to Kalimpong. (115 kms/4 hrs) - transfer hotel.
p. m.- visit the orchid nurseries
Day 11: Drive Kalimpong / Bhadrapur - fly
Kathmandu - transfer hotel
Day 12: At leisure Kathmandu
Day 13: Transfer airport - flight to onward
